Pair with the Angel Wings in order to heal 6 health points per second.
Combining the Angel Wings, Medic Gear, and Wooden Shield will make players virtually invincible as it will usually heal before another hit. The exceptions would be when the Player takes more than 35 damage points all at a time.
The Medic Gear can also be a good way to heal yourself if you run out of Food, or when attempting a No Food Challenge.

Using Structures such as Spikes can deal so much damage at a time that the Medic Gear is virtually useless.
High DPS weapons like Daggers and the Katana can be effective against a Medic Gear user.
Use Bull Helmet or Plague Mask to counter the Medic Gear effect.

There is a structure that looks similar and has a similar effect. It is called Healing Pad.
The original concept of the Medic Gear, when it was known as the Honeycrisp hat was made by a discord user, who went by the name of Unnamed_Tank, this same user was responsible for the Musket.
The usage of the Honeycrisp hat was popularized by the Mootuber, known as Corrupt X; however its usage dropped over time.
