The Minigun is a ranged offensive weapon a part of Captain Hayden's Modern Weapons add on. This is the fastest firing weapon of the pack but also results in one of the slowest movement speeds when held.
Technical[]
- The Minigun deals 10 damage per round at fire rate of 0.1 seconds per round.
- This may seem extremely OP but, the Minigun has a primitive cooling system, meaning it will overheat after an extended period of firing. When it overheats, the gun will jam and a red bar will appear on the hot bar at the bottom of the Minigun Icon. The cool down period will last for around 5 seconds
- The Minigun is also extremely heavy to carry, limiting the movement speed to around 50%
- Bullets are extremely cheap, costing around 1 stone per 5 bullets
- The Minigun does extra damage to structures, making it extremely effective in base raids. (It is like a long range Hammer)
Strategy[]
- Stay at a long range during fights. Even thought the Minigun seems powerful, it's ingame balancing makes the player extremely slow and vulnerable to high range melee weapons
- Using the Shadow Wings and Booster Hat will limit the low speed effect, but not by much
- Always stockpile a lot of stone. Even though the bullet usage count may seem low, the fast rate of fire means the stone will be burned through rapidly
- This is a great weapon to clear out structures. By using this weapon, you will nearly be out of range of any turret
