Strategy

Using

• Use if you are good at combat.
• Use this as you would use the Bull Helmet or the Dark Knight, but without any health drain.
• Extremely useful against Bosses, as the high damage will make the Boss take severe damage while you yourself will be healed by the life steal.
• With a Diamond Katana or a Golden Polearm (more highly upgraded variants work too) and a Bloodthirster, one can swing their Weapon and instantly place down a Spinning Spike with 5 clicks. If the enemy has neither Soldier Helmet nor a Wooden Shield oriented in the correct direction, they will instantly be killed.
• Use with Blood Wings for high health regeneration per hit.

Against

• Use the Soldier Helmet and/or Wooden Shield to reduce the extra Damage taken, and the amount healed.
• Use Structures to avoid being hit.
• Use a Ranged Weapon, making the effects useless.

Trivia

• Yendis Entertainment used the image of the Bloodthirster from the YouTuber eXistenZ's texture pack's Emp Helmet.
• This is one of the two Hats in the game that increases Damage, the other being the Bull Helmet.
• Many see this Hat as the final destination for the Melee combat build.
